SpiritWheel 2005 is a fundraising event for an Aboriginal Persons with HIV/AIDS Gathering.
Our mission is to wheel in support of a Gathering for Aboriginal Persons with HIV/AIDS and their families, and to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS issues and Aboriginal people.
The intent of SpiritWheel is tri-fold. As Aboriginal People living on this land, we have faced many challenges. One of these challenges is HIV/AIDS in our communities. Aboriginal People Living with HIV/AIDS and their families have been requesting that a Gathering be held in order to share ideas around overcoming the challenges that exist, and forming a network of support for APHAs and their families that is organized by and for APHAs and their families.
Spiritwheel proposes to wheel through the following communities. Edmonton,St. Albert,Morinville,Sandy Beach,Bon Accord, Gibbons,Redwater,Radway, Waskatenau,Warspite,Smoky Lake,Métis Crossing,Andrew,Hamlin,Saddle Lake
St. Paul.
